An agreement was reached between Medfit and Family Fitnessworks to help foster the long term plans of each while benefitting the combined membership. Medfit will use its Chester Blvd building to concentrate on its core business of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. The transfer of members and equipment also allows Family Fitnessworks (FFW) to expand its programs as the regions premier fitness facility and provider.
Medfit members will now have access to a much larger facility, functional training center, racquetball / basketball courts, greater selection of group classes and more equipment. They will also have the opportunity to use the FFW aquatic center. Medfit class instructors and other familiar faces will accompany existing equipment to FFW over the coming weeks. During the February transition period, Medfit members will still have access to the current Medfit building where FFW staff will provide information and registration. Presently enrolled FFW members will enjoy the benefits of expanded equipment and class offerings. Planned reconfiguration of FFW’s cycling studio and other group fitness and cardio spaces will accommodate both the additional equipment and participants. Nearing completion is a also new room that will outfit the specialized training and group session needs of FFW’s Level One Crossfit (R) Trainers.

Proposed use of the space include gymnasium, pool, locker rooms and cross training. The proximity to the Cardinal Greenway trail and central location of the building known as “At The Warehouse” has already been a successful home for Family Fitnessworks, the Warehouse Cafe, Hitter’s Hangout and Cycling & Fitness Warehouse. This expansion would complete the vision for a comprehensive hub of community fitness.

Family FitnessWorks has officially opened in Liberty, IN! We are located in the Miles Richmond building across from SUBWAY.
FFW Liberty is open 24 Hours (with an Access Card) and has cardio equipment, free-weight equipment and 11 selectorized weight equipment for circuit training. Our Group Fitness Studio is still under construction, but we plan to launch classes in mid June.
Members have 24-hour Access to both locations (Richmond & Liberty) and to our Aquatics Center at the Hibberd School Building.

FFW now has kid's classes every Wednesday at 5:30pm and Saturday at 11:15am!
Each class is approximately 45 minutes in length and is for kids ages 6 to 14.
