" Ask Adam"...

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS about the FINAL MOVE

Racquetball

Q: Is it true there will be Racquetball Courts at the new facility. Is that true?
A: YES! We are building two regulation size Racquetball Courts.

Q: There has been talk that the new Racquetball Courts are built from some kind of partially assembled kit. Is that correct?
A: NO. The Courts are being custom-built.

Q: When will the New Racquetball Courts be finished and ready for play?
A: The goal date is August 1st, 2010. The construction company expects a 2½ -3 week turnaround time, and will be starting the week of July 12th.

Q: Will there be a viewing area for Racquetball spectators?
A: There will be a viewing window / partial glass back-wall on one court.

Q: I heard one court will have a basketball hoop in it, is that true?
A: SOMETIMES. Let me explain… We are installing a retractable basketball hoop in one court. This will not be seen or interfere with Racquetball games because it will be inside the wall. Upon the push of a button, the basketball goal will come out of the wall and swing down for Basketball use.

Q: Will we have the same wait and problems with lights that we have at the Eastside?
A: NO! We are installing lights that immediately turn on and off with the flip of a switch and are still as powerful and bright as the lights at the Eastside.

Parking

Q: Is street parking the only available parking at the New Facility?
A: No. This is a three part answer…
1) Street parking is available next to the entrance/exit.
2) There is also the parking lot in front of Cycling & Fitness Warehouse. It is a gravel lot now, but is in the plans to be paved this Fall. The parking lot in relativity is equivalent to parking in the ‘side lot’ at the Eastside facility.
3) There will be a 4th Street entry/exit available at the conclusion of construction (July 31st). It will also be street parking, but will be much closer for those members playing racquetball and/or utilizing the new Free Weight & Hammer Strength areas.

Circuit Equipment

Q: Will the Nautilus equipment from the Eastside be moved to the New Facility?
A: No. We do not have the space to ‘double-up’ on equipment. What that means is we have such a wide variety of pieces that we would have two of the same pieces if we moved the Nautilus. Any equipment that we do not have a comparable piece already we will keep.

Q: Is there any Nautilus equipment that you do not have a comparable new piece?
A: There are two unique Nautilus pieces that we cannot find a newer version of, that we think is suitable for our customers. Those pieces are the Vertical Ab Crunch and the 4-Way Neck machine; we are keeping both of those and will be at the New Facility.

Q: Will we be without anything during the move?
A: We will be doing repairs and cosmetic rehab to the Nautilus Vertical Ab Crunch and the Nautilus 4-Way Neck Machine between relocation. We are unsure how long this will take, but assure you that our goal is to have them back as soon as possible. ***Please see next question for more information on this subject.***

Q: Will you be getting new equipment at the new facility anytime soon?
A: YES! We currently have 11 NEW pieces of Life Fitness equipment (comparable to Nautilus) and we have 9 more NEW pieces on order. These pieces will be arriving at the new facility the week of July 26th (listed on the back page) and will be ready for use upon delivery. ***The Nautilus equipment will be removed from the Eastside the week of July 12th-16th. You will be limited to the 11 pieces currently at the new facility until the others arrive, but should be pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of equipment we already have available. (see equipment list link)

Cardiovascular Equipment (i.e. Treadmills, Elliptical, Bikes, etc.)

Q: What cardio equipment is available at the New Location?
A: We currently have 10 Treadmills, 3 Ellipticals, 3 Cross Trainers, 2 Upright Bikes, 2 Recumbent Bikes, 2 Steppers & 1 Rower. We have more cardio equipment arriving early August. This shipment includes: an additional 4 Treadmills, 3 Recumbent Bikes, 2 Ellipticals and 2 Versa-Climbers.

Q: What is a Versa-Climber?
A: Unlike the vertical motion of a Stepper, the Versa-Climber is a revolving staircase that gives you a continuous stair climb; a very unique and neat piece.

Q: Is there any cardio equipment on the lower level at the new facility?
A: Currently there is none, but we plan to put a couple treadmills on the lower level at the end of July. The number of treadmills or details on what other equipment might be available downstairs is yet to be determined

Hammer Strength Equipment

Q: Are you moving/keeping all of the Hammer Strength (currently at the Eastside)?
A: No. We have 11 NEW Hammer Strength pieces at the new facility which would double with the addition of all of the pieces from the Eastside. We will be keeping 4 pieces from the Eastside that we currently do not have a new version of, which will give you a 15-piece Hammer Strength area. Those 4 pieces are: High Row, Row, Front Shoulder Press & Behind Neck Shoulder Press. (A list of all Hammer Strength Pieces is on the last page)

Free Weights & Misc. Equipment

Q: What equipment (excluding Hammer Strength machines) will we see at the new facility, moved from the Eastside?
A: We will be moving the Cable Machine, various bench presses, deadlifting platform, Smith Machine, Hack Squat, Gripper, Seated Calf Raise, and various dumbbells and weight plates.

Q: How big is the Free Weight Room at the new Facility?
A: We are adding an additional 5,100² ft. to our new facility. 1,600² ft. will be two racquetball courts, approximately 1,200² ft. will be designated to Hammer Strength Equipment, and the remaining 2,300² ft. will be strictly Free Weights (dumbbells, bench presses, squat racks, etc.)!!!

Locker Rooms

Q: What is the locker room situation at the new facility?
A: Currently, we have two sets of locker rooms (two men’s, two women’s). One set is upstairs and is mostly used by cardio and group fitness members. The other set is downstairs and is mostly used by circuit trainers and lifters. Each locker room has lockers, benches, bathroom facilities and two showers.

Q: Are the showers small?
A: NO! Although they are individual showers, they are approximately 3’ deep with a 5’ entry/exit face. They also have stability bars and bench/seats in each.

Q: Is it true that there will be a 3rd set of locker rooms?
A: YES! We plan to add a third set with our Phase 3 Construction (tentatively dated for Spring 2011). It will be located on the lower level just off of the new Free Weight Room and near the Racquetball Courts.
